Camp Description:
Speech and Debate Workshop is a great introduction for any and all students who are interested in participating in speech and debate in the future. Each day of this week-long camp, students will have the opportunity to explore a new speech and debate event and prepare a speech based upon what was learned that day, receiving individual feedback from the experienced instructor. Students will be able to complete the program with a strong understanding of what goes into an effective speech and argument, having learned professional techniques that can help them speak out and make a difference through speech.

Camp Description:
Bonjour! The Fun With French camp will cover basic French vocabulary and greetings, as well as present tense conjugation and passé compose. These skills are typically what French I covers in high school. It will use a semi-immersive approach and allow students to not only learn about the language, but also elements of French culture. By the end of the camp, students will have learned the basic principles behind the language and will be able to perform a skit using specified vocab words and grammar.

Beginner's Introduction to Java -

This introductory course will teach students the basics of Java and object-oriented thinking. Each day students will progressively learn more about programming in Java and be able to incorporate it all together in the end where they will create the classic game of Snake.

Website Development for Beginners -
Time: 2-4 PM CT, July 18-22

Camp Description:
This camp will be explaining the basics of HTML to add meaningful content to a simple webpage, as well as debrief how CSS can be used to style a website to make it visually appealing and accessible. There will also be a small introduction to JavaScript, which allows for any webpage to come to life and become interactive with the user. Students will be utilizing these website development skills to create their own websites and projects. At the end, the camp would culminate with a showcase where students create their own website utilizing all the concepts they've learned on a topic that is meaningful to them.

Intro to Modeling and CAD -
Time: 2PM - 4PM CT, August 1- August 5

Camp Description:
This camp will start off with a brief overview of what CAD is and some of its uses, as well as showing some CAD models created by IMSA's FRC robotics team. Then, students will be introduced to TinkerCad and create models in it based off of modeling concepts that are taught. From there, the camp's curriculum would transition to introducing OnShape (since it's a free software for students) and teach students how to use that software. The camp would end with a showcase where students create a CAD model in OnShape using the concepts they have learned and show it off to other students in the camp (and parents as well if they want to come).

Do you want to learn more about the SAT and impress your friends and family with your skills? Then this summer camp is the right choice for you! We will be learning about the basics of the SAT, how each section works, and how YOU can get a 1200+ score! Unlike other SAT courses, this class will not only walk students through the steps of solving complicated problems, but also show them what to expect as they conquer the SAT. They will be able to apply their knowledge of unique question sets by crafting a practice test of their own to quiz their fellow classmates and teacher.
